Fred Comes Face to Face with the Dragon

The first thing that Fred saw after he and Velus had teleported was the
Princess (whose name he had not yet had the chance to learn), standing
just a few feet away from him, still naked but at least now unchained. She
had an expression of extreme distaste on her face, which hurt Fred's
feelings for a moment until he realised that it was not himself on whom
her gaze was fixed.
"Well this is a pleasant surprise," came a deep, rumbling voice from behind him. "I didn't expect anyone else to drop in when I brought darling Astra here." Fred turned, and found himself facing the dragon at a distance of no more than ten feet. The beast was both terrifying and magnificent, fully thirty feet long from the tip of his muzzle to the end of his tail, and armoured with glossy red scales that reflected the light of the torches fastened to the wall of the huge cavern. Fred drew his sword...
