So Far, So Good

Astra, Sophie and Isabelle were removed from the room in the same fashion. Then they all cautiously proceeded along the passage that led back to Belboz's chamber, hoping that they would find him still fast asleep. If he had awoken, Fred would try to kill him with his sword before he had the time to cast a spell. Miranda gave Sophie and Isabelle, and more especially Fred and Astra, occasional dark looks, but did not cause any trouble.

1. Luckily Belboz was still sleeping soundly.
2. Belboz was still asleep - that is until the insane Miranda without any warning let out a piercing shriek.
3. But Belboz had a second line of defence, and they found themselves unable to emerge from the passage into his chamber.
