With nowhere else to go, Exotica dived into the great lake. It was an
experience like no other. For the first time in her whole life, she truly
felt free. No longer did she have to follow the boundaries off land. Under
the water, she could go any direction she pleased. She amazed at how clear
her view was underwater. She was able to see everything around her in
every direction clearer than daylight, and she saw many things; varieties of
fish swarmed around the large lake area, including the area she stood
herself. They seemed to be fearless of her. Along with the fish,
colorized plants surround the rocks and floor of the lake. Exotica even
thought she might have found a hint of coral. "This isn't any normal
lake" She thought to herself. The only area that lacked a single fish or plant of any kind was a large, dark, underwater tunnel at the bottom of the lake. She swam gracefully towards the dark whole ("I've become much faster!" She thought), but the closer she came to it, more anxious, depressed, uncomfortable, and worried. When she had finally gotten to the mouth of the tunnel, she was trembling like a small child lost outside in the snowy night. The water no longer felt warm and comforting but icy cold and unnatural. Any human being would have had enough common sense to know to stay away from that area like a plague.Well, she wasn't exactly a full human anymore, thanks to those scales. She knew the tunnel was bad news. Although she could see nothing, hear nothing, or smell nothing from inside it, she could sense something alive in their. Even though every part of her brain was telling her "You fool! Get away from their!, her body would not respond. She was more than just some foolish, spoiled, brat like some other princesses in the world. She wouldn't let the darkness overcome her.Her shivering suddenly calmed a little. Slowly, she began to swim into the tunnel, into the darkness.
