A level of . . .

Well, back to square one with the "bawdy girls" and all that.... At least we are narrowing down the list of candidate realities...

All of that is nice and well, I am sure. However, by God! If I and my wife and love would have NEVER seen Tursil's face again (even an "analog" of his face again) it would have been too damn soon!! Believe me, I would have just LOVED to have "discussed" things with him alone, one on one.

However, with all the chaps he brought along to that little social occasion just moment ago, can a person not be more than a little disturbed about it. I am not saying that I and my friends (great friends indeed to have at your back, thank God) couldn't have fought our way free . . .

It is just that after that one near thing with those spiders I and Artizza had been . . . taken aback by their presence! That and the very idea that those spiders (at least on that world) should have such an alliance with the Dark Elves speaks of a level of . . . manipulation back when we were still human of many things.

I had wondered why we should have been so fortunate (after I had time to think it over) to not have run into more spiders in the dark when our path had circled back to that clearing where we had met Tursil (re: 24811).

If such an alliance between spider and Dark Elf existed back from the reality I and Artizza hale from (if not all the other analogs who went through it) then it means that the Dark Elves play a deeper game than I and others first believed! The spiders had been kept away at the word of Tursil and his lapdogs to evil in order to "harvest" us when we came into our rightful forms!!

Worthy foes indeed, Tursil and his cronies.

But that is all by the by and I and my love now are back home, safe for the moment.

There is a "briefing" coming up here (time put aside to allow the Key to recharge after being pushed due to the extra weight of the unicorns).

Might as well use it wisely and listen in. A lot of the others (including a still stunned Queen Helia) are wishing to do that so might as well not be the odd ones out!!
