"Did you hear about Burbank?"
"No, what happened?"
"He's that nut who got a job after he was released from jail. I heard him calling his forklift 'Betty Sue' the other day, and talking to it like it was another human being!"
"Omigod, that's funny!"
"Reminds me of that Cummings girl from up north, who was fired for stripping naked and rolling around in a shipment of packing peanuts, man. Just roll with it, they just need some attention."
"Yeah, but Burbank's always been a little off, even if he's a hard worker."
"Maybe it was jail?"
"I don't think two weeks in the county jail would make someone nutty enough to name a machine 'Betty Sue' and have conversations with it."
"You never know, man."
"Yep. But he worries me sometimes..."

Five minutes later:
"Didja hear?!"
"What?"
"What is it?"
"They fired Burbank and had security escort him out of the plant!"
"You're kidding!"
"No fuckin' way, man!"
"What the hell did that guy do?" "You'll never guess."
"Did it involve that forklift of his, by chance? Heh heh heh!"
"As a matter of fact, it did. Josh was caught by management apparently tryin' to have sexual relations with his...forklift. He called it 'Betty Sue' and he was talking dirty to it while he was squirming all over it naked..."

One minuted of stunned silence.

"What....the....HELL."
"Is it wrong of me to want to laugh?"

  1. Follow Josh as he is being ejected from the warehouse.
  2. The conversation continues as they talk about the other weird things Josh did while employed.
  3. The forklift is traumatized, and needs to be retired.
