As Astra and Alexis tried on two of the shirts, Robert said: "The more
shirts that we tie together for our sail, the faster we should go. Even
with the extra food that we've picked up, we surely want to get on as fast
as possible. There's no knowing how many hundreds, or even thousands, of
miles we might have to travel before we reach land."
"He does have a point," Fred reluctantly conceded. "Well they all seem to be far too small anyway," Astra said resignedly. "I can't even get my head through the neck hole of any of them. They must have been meant for small children." Risking another punch from Fred, Robert guffawed. But this time it turned out that it wasn't Fred that he had to worry about. Without warning Alexis flung herself at him and attempted to strangle him, at the same time repeatedly banging his head against the side of the boat.
