"Right," said Fred, grinning evilly. "Here you are then." He threw the device at the man as hard as he could. It hit him a painful blow on the side of the head, then fell to the ground, resetting a number of its controls in the process. It emitted a buzzing sound and gave off blue sparks.

"Oh dear, I do believe that you've broken it," Astra said with mock concern.

"You idiots!" the man raged. "If it's really broken, then I'm trapped here."

  1. The buzzing and the sparks quickly fade away. The device seems to be totally dead.
  2. Then there is an explosion of kaleidoscopic light. When their dazzled eyes can see again, they find that everything has changed.
