Billy finds he can't think of anyone to tell about his discovery. There
would have been, had not a certain dragon-mage decided it was time for him
to intervene. Soon, Billy's encounter with the supposed sorceress had been
wiped clean from his memory, and he was left wondering what he was doing
out of his room at such a late hour. He hurried back into his room and
quickly got changed. He wasn't too worried about the noise, knowing that
his mother was a sound sleeper, and it would take a thunderstorm raging
overhead to wake her. Astra, meanwhile, couldn't go back to sleep. She was coming to the conclusion that she had not necessarily made the right snap decision. She had belatedly realised that Billy would have felt a naked arm against his neck, though she wasn't too certain if there had been enough light for him to have seen the illusion. If he had though, he could have put two and two together and made five. She was fairly certain he wouldn't be able to do anything about it now, but made a note to wake Fred earlier than planned. They would eschew breakfast, leave enough money to cover for their meals and the rooms, and get as far away from the inn as possible.
