Astra Tackles the Intruder

"Who are you, and why are you in my room?" Astra growled.

The intruder gulped. It seemed to be a few minutes before he could trust himself to speak. Astra got a surprise when he finally did so, in a torrent of words: "My name's Billy, ma'am. I live with my mother in a room down the hall. The landlord lets us stay at half price, but my farm job still doesn't pay enough. When I heard you were stayin' here, I thought you might have something I could pawn, being nobility, and all."

Astra snorted. "A common thief, eh?" She released her grip on him and shoved him towards the door. "Get out of here. Now." She ordered. Frightened half to death, Billy scarpered.

1. Astra went back to bed, muttering.
2. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. It was Fred, asking if she was all right.
