A Nocturnal Intruder

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 52087

Astra woke up to find that her room was still dark. Since it was obviously not time to get up yet, she was about go back to sleep when she heard a floorboard creak. Someone was in her room! No doubt that was what had woken her. Who could it be and what could they want? She didn't have any valuable possessions - or indeed any possessions at all. Of course, if this was a thief he might not know that.

Now that she had been awake for a minute or so, her eyes had adjusted enough to the dark for her to be able to make out a darker shape that was slowly creeping around the room. What should she do? Should she challenge whoever it was? Or, since she had nothing that could be stolen and didn't have a weapon, should she pretend that she was still asleep and wait for them to leave?

  1. She leapt out of bed and make a grab for the intruder.
  2. She said: "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
  3. She feigned sleep.
  4. The figure approached the bed. Then it extended one arm and held a cloth over her nose. She struggled, but quicky found herself drifting back into sleep, since the cloth had been impregnated with some kind of sedative.
  5. She got out of bed quietly and crept up behind him.
