Allan "So court sorceress," Queen Helia orders Xyllis --done in the form of a question-- to give forth. "What have you to add to these fools absurd claims?" My! How very . . . imperial this woman is! Then again, fair dues, she IS the royal head of her nation (a true nation of Amazons for God's sake)! . . . Pardon, it is just that . . . as odd as it sounds there are still things out there that can put me out of sorts. For a few seconds, anyway, that is AND it is not due to the fact that this Queen Helios is a "strong woman"! Hrmph! My Mina (my love) is a "strong woman". She NEEDED to be one to have survived that damnable monster, Dracula! A "proper" compliant and meek English woman (woman period!) would have . . . Well, her friend had succumbed and had to be destroyed and . . . Damn! . . . . If she had not used her one obligatory "limited" wish--though I shall be buried as what exactly the limits would be for those Celestrial chaps wish granting ability is--that almost all Champions get upon entry into the ranks to keep IT dead (or whatever term that could be used that undead fiend) then . . . I would have! Why would God allow such a monster like that in His plans? . . . Oh, I still believe . . . but I have so many . . . .questions. Questions (which I am sure He wouldn't have minded) that I had felt would have been answered in the Afterlife, not . . . in this life. . . . Sorry, got somewhat sidetracked there! What I was saying that it was the fact that I am actually facing something out of Greek/Roman mythology (and is VERY much acting as . . . badly as I remember them in school as being). . . . Pah! Despicable. Couldn't and won't go into just how I mean that. Would take too long, old chap. Leaving those poor girls that way! Inflicting them to the oldest profession of women on . . .! At least I have had the boon of meeting some of the Terra Prime version of Amazons, else while I wouldn't have condemned ALL of that particular race . . . . .er . . .believe that the proper term now-a-day would be "people" or "nation". Actually, the word "race" is more appropriately a synonym for "species", considering all the non-humans (which I actually now am, having been . . . given this wonderful new body . . ) . . . . . . Hrmph, anyway at least NOW she has finally decided in ceasing in interrupting our efforts in parsing out what actually happened to those other bawdy girls (if they ARE actually yet another set of transmogrified victims). Believe now, from the somewhat horrified whispers she gave off that she realized that her actions were NOT as wise as she'd first felt (something along the lines of what would her gods and goddesses do to her and her nation for this "sin") that she'll at least be at least less obstructionistic in her dealings with us. Hope that will be the case, anyway. In any case, she's ceased making threats and such (at least that) only long enough to get some input from the still recovering court sorceress (Gads! That "stun" setting of Inquirer's pistol left her in a BAD way) . . . . . . "A shimmering portal which these other girls stepped through," I echo Dr. Vincent (odd chap!), blinking a bit. "But you say that their forms shifted and shimmered into their . . . present shape, you say?" Erk! Oh my, sounds rather like the "Two Girl Prophesy" and that "Transform Door" busines that some of the "Fred clan" dealt with! Oh yes, before you ask, somewhere between the times of my new friends trying to help I and Mina adjust to our new (wonderful!) form and having bouts of fantastic se . . . .umh . . . consummating our marriage we learned some of the more "interesting" facts about our new clan, Eternity Inc. Oh, I'd been taken aback by this "transgender" business when seeing that first group portrait of Fertal's brothers and sisters (http:// www. geocities. com/ rule179/ imagesoffred. htm). VERY taken aback, I shall admit it! However, given the real "learning experience" (as the Doctor put it) I and my love, Mina, went through with OUR transition into our rightful forms AND that news about the interface between the physical and spiritual (that "Matrix" business, as the magic users of our little adventuring group put it) I can NOT fault them for what befell them. Especially considering the alternative to adjusting: madness so deep and dark that would shame "Red Jack" himself! But still all, given that, I do believe it is now time to excuse myself from this group and deliver confirmation to Sigin's initial suspicion about the true origins of "Fifi" and "Bambi". Hopefully, that Cuthbert (Allgood?) has some leftover remedy for what ails those now sleeping beauties! Moments later, after Allan (and Mina, coming along since they'd become inseperable) delivers that news to the dragon mage in question, Sigin finally has managed to track down Roland's friend and former Ka-tet member . . .
