Crossover in L-space

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 51062

For those who arrived late, the scene is a library aisle. A knight lies on the floor, overwhelmed by the weight of an extremely thick book lying over him, that appears to grow as he keeps browsing. Suddenly two other characters appear out of a side aisle the knight could have sworn wasn't there a moment ago. They are a pretty nondescript young boy, and an extremely descript bipedal wolf wearing nothing but pince-nez spectacles and enough fur to avoid a higher age rating.

"Greetings, Sir Fred," the wolf rumbles. "Won-Tolla am I. This is Mark, I brought him to help. Mark, this is Sir Fred. You can see the trouble he's in."

"Sure," Mark remarks (!), momentarily distracted by the book's dust jacket, which is lying on the floor. Ah, of course. That title (see both backlinks) seems to explain it... "First time I've seen someone put down by a book!"

  1. Mark and Won-Tolla try to lift the book off Sir Fred.
  2. Mark gets an idea. Perhaps turning the pages backwards will make the book shrink again?
  3. The next author has a different idea.
  4. Mark is extremely distracted at the sight of Princess Astra running through the room in her usual lack of attire.
  5. Won-Tolla is powerless because he's the one who got Sir Fred into this mess in the first place. Another author joins the fray. (animal form optional.)
