How mad is he anyway?

The Mad Painter lowered his dagger and looked curiously at the knight. "And I thought I was mad," he muttered.

"Do you hear those noises?" Fred continued, gesturing in the direction of the sealed room. "The volcano is erupting, and I believe there is a dragon coming this way too! Your paintings are doomed in any case. Would you not rather have your life's work destroyed by someone who cares about it than a random force of nature?"

The Painter pondered this question for an hour or two, then he said...

1. Yes you're right, just as long as you feel really bad about it.
2. What do you mean the dragon does not care? He is one of my biggest fans!
3. What?! How dare you deny my art a chance to be obliterated by Mother Earth herself!
4. Amazing! You are actually madder than I am!
5. But neither of us is as mad as the writer of this chapter!
