Introductions

At the time of his sad demise, "our" Dr Vincent had evidently been operating a teleport gate. Unfortunately I had detected that this was still running just too late to prevent an unfortunate side effect. What must have happened was that the gate kept on fouling up the non-Terra Prime's Dr. Vincent's transport spell because of his similar magical signature to "our" Dr Vincent. Finally it got to the point that the teleporter swept all those with the "other" Dr Vincent to Terra prime.

Before I can switch off the gate I hear conversation from the adjacent room, which should have been empty, and guess what must have happened. Not wanting to take any chances, I ready a weapon before going next door. "Okay," I say softly, calmly but without putting ny weapon down. "It appears that we have a slight problem with the teleporter still being on."

I recognise three of the startled faces that turn in my direction. I'm not too surprised to see a Dr Vincent, or his toaster-headed gorilla assistant, Bobo. There's also a Princess Astra. The others I don't know. Four of them are scantily dressed and very pretty young women, two of them apparently asleep. [49271] The two conscious girls look very much like the two sleeping ones. There are also a woman with a regal air to her who looks rather like an older version of Astra, a middle-aged woman and an elderly one.

""Perhaps before I attempt to explain to you what has happened, we should introduce ourselves," I go on. "My name is Inquirer."

"I am Helia, Queen of Aqualaria," the regal woman says. "I shall be most interested to hear your promised explanation." That could be interpreted as polite, but I rather think that she's being snide. She continues: "This is my daughter Astra, and over there is my court sorceress, Xyllis. The two sleeping beauties appeared in my court a short time ago, making ridiculous claims as to their true identities, which Xyllis has disproved. I've no idea who they really are. The names on their collars, Astra and Freda, are clearly false. These two" - she indicated Vincent and the old woman - "had best introduce themselves. The other two girls too; I've no idea who they are. They only just appeared."

1. Fred and Belboz have no memory of their true identities.
2. Fred and Belboz know who they "really" are.
