Identifying To The Dragon

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 50730

Fred greets the Dragon in Ancient-Born, the language of magic which existed before humans, before dragons.
"Hello, stinkface, I am Lord Fred, in service to King Emry, master of the ancient code spell Belophagar, which will always identify me and was granted to me at birth."
Code spells were given to noble children in case of kidnapping; it would allow only their parents or ones who loved them deeply to track them. Magical powers could recognize the code spells if they were close but could not use them for tracking.
The dragon paused, looked at Fred and replied in Ancient-Born.

  1. "You, you I shall devour."
  2. "Thanks for the assist with the beer."
  3. "Come drink with me."
  4. "Princess Astra, now that was a woman." Indeed, Fred remembered her well from diplomatic dinners where she would always somehow cause a problem.
