Turning their attention away from the books, they found that where they had entered the room all trace of the entrance had vanished. Like the other walls, it was now solid rock lined with bookshelves.

"You were right," Fred said. "This room was booby-trapped. There seems to be no way out."

  1. They hear a faint whispering, as if the books are talking.
  2. They hear a faint hissing noise. Then the room begins to fill with a pink, sweet-smelling vapour.
  3. They realise that the room is growing steadily warmer. Are they to be baked to death?
