"Glenda" Fred says suddenly and softly. Slowly, he gets to his knees and
offers the only treasure he possessed. This treasure lay below his amour,
tied around his neck with a durable string was his family emblem.
The emblem was made up of a marble circle with the center cut out. Surrounding the edges of the circle was a Lion mane. On the inside of the Circle was sharp points representing Lion teeth. This was the symbol of Courage. This emblem dated back thousands of seasons ago and meant as much today as it did back then. Fred's father had saved the kingdom from their war enemies long ago with this symbol dawned around his neck. His father's father had fought In the Trade ship War wearing this treasure. His grandfather's father had worn it in battle along with his great grandfather's father along with his fathers for many centuries. Fred knew he was making a mistake. He knew he looked like an fool. He wanted desperately not to do this, but it was as if someone or something had now taken control over his body."Will you marry me?" He says, getting to his knees, presenting the family emblem. Glenda is baffled. She stares at Fred, as if expecting him to jump up and yell "April Fools" but nothing happened.
