Relations Deteriorate Between Fred and Alura

Alura replied, less than diplomatically: "Well, you and Velus smell of pee anyway, so I figured that it wouldn't make much difference."

Fred scowled: "It's not easy keeping clean in a place like this, you know," he said.

"Well, Astra seems to have managed it."

"She bathes in the sea every day. But salt water isn't good for my delicate skin."

"I see," Alura said, raising a sceptical eyebrow.

1. They enter the caves.
2. On the way to the caves, Fred accidentally on purpose knocks Alura into a watering hole used by the local wildlife. She comes out covered in filthy, stinking mud.
