Fresno. Have you ever been there? Shhh. I have...once. ‘Twas long ago in the days of Yore, when the grass was greener and my computer was slower. Back when Clinton was selling secrets to the Chinese and staining dresses belonging to interns, and reality TV was not yet real. Do you remember those days? Shhh, don’t answer. Just breathe. It is morning in Fresno, with the sun just now peeking over the eastern horizon like a nosy, unwelcome in-law arriving the morning before Christmas. ‘Why an unwelcome in-law?’ you ask. Well, shut up and listen. Because anyone who knows anything about Fresno knows that it is overflowing with vampires. And anyone who knows anything about vampires knows that they detest the sun. Also, there are lots of Mexicans there. And Mexicans hate the sunlight too, because it means they have to quit drinking tequila and/or wake up and go stand out on the corner to wait for temporary labor. But I like Mexicans, don’t get me wrong. As long as they stay in their own country. Just kidding.Though a lot of truth is said in jest. But I digress...Josh is now in Fresno. He breathes in a sigh of relief. No more Scott and Jimmy. “No more Scott and Jimmy,” he assures himself. “No more.” Suddenly, and without warning, he is smitten with an overwhelming sense of loneliness. He repeats the same words, though they now hold a far different meaning. “No more Scott and Jimmy.” No more.
