"Well then, what is your plan?" McCoy asked with a hint of
irritation. "The shuttlebay," Spock said, unruffled, "Is an ideal 'way station', if you will. While the shuttle, unfortunately, is not equipped with a transporter system, it contains several useful items, including weapons, sensors and supplied, which we can use to mount a mission to..." "Doctor!" Sulu's voice cut through. The others turned to find Ensign LeClerc collapsed on the deck of the shuttle, supported by the two orderlies. McCoy quickly grabbed the shuttle's medical tricorder and ran a diagnosis. "Well," he concluded, "It's not surprising - between her 'miscarriage' and the mindmeld and the stress of the transporter and the fighting, she's gone into shock." "Will she be alright?" Fred asked. "I think so," the doctor sighed. "By all rights, we should get hr back to sickbay, but under the circumstances, having her stay out of the action have to do. But I don't want to leave her here alone - especially with these parasites running loose - if they found her here alone, who knows what they might do." After some discussion, it was decided that one of the orderlies would remain behind to tend to LeClerc. Spock rigged the sensors of the shuttle "Cabot" to mask their biosigns, so that a casual scan of the bay would not reveal their location. After retrieving weapons and supplied from the other shuttles, the remainder of the team prepared to set forth. "Begging your pardon, Mr. Spock," Chekov said as they prepared to set out, "But just vhere are ve headed to?"
