discovered Ilsa, I brought her for that purpose. Actually, had my spell
reached full potency, I believe she would have been an ideal guardian for
the little princess," he said with a laugh, "But if you wish to pursue
her, my king, I see no reason for you not to do so." "There, you see?" Embron said with a smile. "Perfectly innocent. Besides, Belboz would never seek to trick me - would you, mage?" Embron said, a hard edge behind his ebullient manner. "Fine," Jastina huffed. "But when he plays you for a fool, don't say I didn't warn you!" Embron started to reply angrily, when the door opened and Ilsa returned. "Oh, your majesty," she gushed, "My quarters are so very wonderful and - Oh, I'm sorry. I thought this was the Queen's quarters." "It is, Ilsa," Belboz said with a smile. "I'm afraid the Queen has suffered a bit of a, um, reversal, and won't be in power much longer. But in the meantime, please allow me to introduce you to someone else. Ilsa, this is Embron, Defender of the Realm, His Divine Shadow, and King of all Allaria. Your majesty, this is Ilsa, a simple and sweet woman who has recently arrived here at the palace."
