"I don't believe Belboz wishes to do so, Jastina," came a voice from the
doorway. "He's smarter than that." "Em-Embron!?" Jastina gasped. "Who else?" he smirked. Embron had also apparently partaken of a youth potion, but he had apparently succeeded where Jastina's had not. The king of all Allaria now looked to be in his mid-twenties. Gone were the wrinkled face, the squinted eyes, the thinning gray hair, and the increasingly rounded belly - this Embron was again tall, strong, slender and handsome. "Embron, you look great!" Jastina blurted. Then she frowned again. "But why sabatoge me like this? We could be young and vital and strong together!" "You weren't listening again, were you?" Embron said. "Belboz told you - I've wanted out of this marriage for some time now, and this was the perfect way to do it." "B-b-but why?" Jastina asked, tears flowing again. "Where should I start?" Embron scowled. "You don't love me - you never loved me, only the title and the riches and the pretsige! You never listen to me! You're spoiled and self-absorbed and vain and selfish, and the only reason I didn't toss you out of this castle years ago is that there are very strict rules on how and why a King may divorce himself of an unwanted wife! Well, now I have a legitimate reason!" "Please - please!" Jatsina begged. Embron waved a hand. "Oh, don't worry, you'll do all right. You'll still have your old title of Princess of Gelda, and I'm sure that there'll be many men interested in marrying a beautiful princess - in a couple of years, at least," he added with a laugh. Drying her eyes as best she could, the soon-to-be ex-Queen glared at Embron. "And I guess you've got a new love lined up already, don't you?!" she spat.
