For the sound that they had heard eerily echoing from some distant point within the pyramid - though not nearly distant enough for their peace of mind - was:

1. The voice of Dr Vincent.
2. The growl of a carnage beast.
3. The roar of a dragon.
4. Two voices that sounded uncannily like their own, though it was clear that it was not just echoes of their own voices that they had heard.
5. Rushing water. Were they about to be swept away by a flood?
