"Shall we?" Fred asked. "Well, we're never going to find out anything by just standing here," Astra replied. With a final glance around, the two of them stepped inside the doorway, with Fred clutching his sword tightly and Astra holding a dagger in each hand. The corridor was not metal, as the outside of the pyramid was. It was stone - and not blocks of it, but apparently a long, smooth, unbroken expanse of stone. "Amazing," Astra marveled. "I wonder how they built something like this?" "It's certainly not like any structure I've ever - Astra! The Door!" The great bronze door behind them was swinging shut. They charged back at it, but arrived just as it closed with a solid sounding slam! . Despite several attempts to pry it open, the door remained solidly shut. "Now what?" Astra finally asked. "Now - I guess we keep going," Fred said with a sigh. "And try to find out what's making that glow." Astra frowned. "It's going to be some kind of trap, you know." "It already is a trap, Astra. But what other choice do we have? I say we go meet whatever lies here on our terms, not theirs." Together, Fred and Astra went down the corridor, still armed and at the ready. The corridor was a long one, and traversing it seemed to take hours (though it was hard to say), but they eventually found themselves at the end.
