Are These Statues for Sale?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 47942

Ah, good old Pronky, Mistress Candida thought. That's much more appropriate. The two transformed statues seemed to be of twins, the only difference between them being that one appeared to be glancing to her left and the other to her right. They were petite, curvaceous and very pretty. The sculptor had shown great skill in suggesting in stone that each girl wore only two wisps of silk, one piece tied to cover her loins and the other across her breasts. Around each girl's stone neck was a shiny metal collar. One girl had the name "Freda" engraved on her collar, the other the name "Astra". Their expressions of anger and alarm had been replaced by welcoming smiles.

A voice came from behind her. "They're divine! I'd like to buy them. Name your price." She turned and saw:

  1. The sorceror Conkaltheus, Pronklezilch's chief rival locally.
  2. The young lordling Rudolph.
  3. A middle-aged, but still good-looking, well-dressed woman whom she had never seen before. Candy wondered what she was doing in a place like this.
