Astra did find herself looking into the red eyes of what she thought was
the dragon. She was lucky that it was dark, as was her dress. She could
hear water dripping in the distance. There must be water close by
, she thought. Being from a village by the sea, Astra had learned the
ways of water when she was very young, or at least younger than she was
now.
She found the wall of the tunnel without making a noise. She pressed her
back against the cool, moist wall hoping to succeed in her surprise attack.
