The ship was not golden on the inside, but it was still impressive enough.
All four of our heroes independently had the same thought: if these
Valinor could create such a marvel as this ship, why did they need to
stoop to ransoming captives? Surely, with all their arcane knowledge, they
must be far wealthier than either Allaria or Aqualaria.
Their guards were similarly dressed and armed to the man that they had seen first, whom they assumed must be the leader. However these men's beards were less impressively luxuriant than his. The warriors escorted them along a passageway to a cabin. "In there," one of them said. Once they were all inside, the door was locked behind them. Just then, they felt a slight vibration through the floor. The vessel was already taking off again, as smoothly as it had landed. Though there was no fire that they could see, like the passage that they had been taken along the cabin was agreeably warm. This was a relief to all of them, but particularly to Astra.
