That response didn’t seem to suit Billingsely at all. “That’s not quite
the answer I was looking for,” he confessed. “I’m not big on ‘questing’
or ‘quests’ or ‘getting up before noon’ or ‘real work’.” “Well, gee,” Hank replied. “I’m not looking for it either.” Namu-Namu shook his head defiantly. “Don’t look at me, stupids,” the stubborn little brat scoffed. “I aint lookin’ for some stupid mirror for stupid white chic. So stupid. Let stupid demons go on stupid rampage. Shoooot, fools.” And he clutched his genitalia and flashed strange hand signs at them, as was the way of his kind. I guess he'd untied the ropes binding him by this point. Either that or this is a plot-inconsistency. Philosophers are still debating this today.
Meanwhile...Fred and Alexis stood at the rim of the brooding volcano, their hands clasped. Behind them was an assorted throng of Slap-a-Ho tribesmen, wearing their elaborate masks. Their leader, Yorumba-bobo-yo, a squat man with a bulbous gut that swayed delightfully to and fro, took a step forward and spoke. “Look,” he said. “It’s nothing personal. We’ve got a lot of gods to appease, and not enough sacrificial saps to appease them with. It really is a pity we can't keep you for ourselves. We would love nothing more than to deflower you and eat your livers. I really hope you understand.” But of course they couldn’t understand a word of his hedonistic language. “This is it,” Fred whispered to Alexis. “It’s time for us to meet the same fate as poor, poor Astra.”“And to think, that jerk Bob is still out there, alive and probably laughing at our plight,” Alexis whispered back. Fred offered his condulences. “Don’t you worry. If the natives or the malaria don’t kill him first, the malnutrition and exposure to the elements will.”That seemed to lighten the mood. Alexis licked her lips seductively and embraced the knight. “Kiss me,” she begged. “Kiss me deeply before we're cast into that horrible volcano!” And as Fred obligingly swept her off her feet and stuck his tongue down into the warm depths of her throat, he couldn’t help but feel confused. Was he kissing Alexis, the princess? Or Alex, the prince? Either way, he/she sure knew how to work that tongue of his/hers.Oh dear! Is this the end of Fred and Alexis? Will Astra be able to find them in time?
