Boil me a prune, Gladys

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 46683

The skinny man stopped dead in his tracks at this sudden and unexpected revelation.

"Mother!" he cried, tears welling up in its big yellow eyes (or were they pink?), "I though I'd lost you forever! Look what you've done to my swans!"

Fred was confused. "What swans?" he asked.

"These swans!" the man wailed, waving his arms about. Sure enough, where his arms should have been were two swans; a black left swan and a white right swan. Suddenly the swans started melting and dripping onto the floor, where the drops turn into multi- coloured fairies.

"Woa, dude" Fred mumbled, although he did not understand what he said or why he said it. The room was filled with sparkling lights in ever-changing colours and Fred's moods were changing accordingly - first happy then sad then chilled out then loved up.

Before he had even thought of it, Fred had invented mutton and was discussing it with some earwax he had just bought from the skinny man's cousin, a nose flute with skin for hair and hair for skin.

Then . . .

  1. . . .nothing
  2. . . .everything
  3. . . .Fred awakes from his stupor to find himself in a very embarrassing situation
