On a distant island, an old man and an agelessly beautiful woman watch in horror as the
dark being devours the mortal on whom they'd pinned their hopes. Then, the world twists
around them and the monster that had devoured their former pawn appears in front of
them. The man, a former leader who'd long ago grown tired, prepares to face the being,
pulling all of his inner strength together once more to face it. The woman stares in horror,
as she realizes that this being is not one of those she had prepared all of her existance to
face. Has she gotten involved in an even greater battle?
It does not matter, because the battle is over after a moment. The godlike beings muster all their courage and power for the battle, but it is for naught. After a moment, the dark being is triumphant and devours the corpses of its enemies. "That was too easy," it says. And through all this, you continue to be aware somehow, horrified and broken, not aware how you are still living. Happyman then began to belch. With its horrible belch, vibrations rang throughout the world that ripped it into pieces. You watch in horror as your boyhood home and everywhere you had ever known become dust. You hear the death screams of a billion people as your world is atomized. Yet somehow, you alone are still alive to witness this terrible sight. Yet you feel in your heart that someone needs to witness this, though it is too vast and terrifying for you to absorb. Somehow, your awareness expands to fill the whole universe, and you watch a horde of creatures similar to Happyman overrun every inhabited world. You watch as floating islands fall into the sea, as gargoyles scream as their city burns. You watch as the creatures of darkness converge on the realm of the gods, where a great battle between light and darkness is being fought. A thousand great warriors, heroes and villains who might have become legends, are no more. Strangely, as each one dies, you feel their power flowing into you. As reality ripples again, a vast dark being forms from the blackness of space. It is proportioned like a god. You look upon it with awe and fear. Surely this being would defeat Happyman. But as you watch, Happyman simply yawns. The would-be God is sucked into his mouth as he breathes in. At that moment, the universe itself falls apart as a result of all the holes that Happyman and its minions have eaten in reality. An inrush of cosmic energy streaks back to the Big Bang and destroys it. You are full of numbed pain and loss as all your memories vanish before you can get ahold of them. You close your eyes (or whatever faculty it is that you are seeing with now) as the cosmic winds bear you away into nothing.
