Belboz returns in a brilliant flash of light. He stares Fred down with a
mischievous smirk on his face, before finally speaking:
"I told you to be careful, but you made your choice."
"What can I do to shut that sword up?" Fred asks.
"Treat it with a little affection and it will be happy to slay the dragon
for you. Also, you must respect it."
"Damn."
The sword has not said anything since the reappearance of Belboz. Fred
sits
and stares at it for a minute and finally, after taking in a deep breath,
says: "Look, I am sorry that I mishandled you, and I will do my best to
control myself in the future."
"Yeah, I figured that's what you'd say," mutters the sword.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!"
Fred jumps to his feet in horror. Turning around, he sees a large
creature
that resembles what would be an eight-foot tall wolf with two
heads and claws the size of his head.
"Oh boy, I think we might want to go now."
