Since this specific passage ended in watery chaos, Sir Toby retreated and took the other passage. It was wide and filled with Lamplight Crystals. They were so named because they reflected the ambient magic of the land, providing light for miners, trolls, dwarves and anyone adventuring deep underground. They also smelled liked feces, but it was a fair trade-off for not getting lost forever in the stygian darkness. Anyway...
Sir Toby was on a broadly sloping passage, about fifty feet wide, supported by thick oak poles and glowing purple reinforcement spells.

  1. He hears a barking sound.
  2. He sees something glittering in the dirt. It is a magical dagger.
  3. Someone has just tried to hide themselves behind an oaken support pole.
  4. Sir Toby's stomach has rumbled because he has skipped breakfast.
  5. Someone is singing "Put the lime in the coconut" over and over.
  6. The King's third favorite singer, Dan Fogelbert, shows up. He has a fresh scar on his chin.
