"Thank you, but no," said the maiden. Fred looked at her quizically. Almost as if she read his mind, she responded, "I can't be allowed to wear any clothing. It's some sort of curse."

"What curse?" asked Fred.

The maiden responded...

  1. "If you put clothes on me, I will surely perish."
  2. "If you put clothes on me, you will surely perish."
  3. "There is no curse actually, I just don't want to wear bandages."
