Lueoth Considers

I am looking forward to this battle, although I am glad to have gotten out of the caves, if only for a relatively brief time. The darkness was weighing down heavily on my spirit, as well as the stench of Belboz's death magic. I am certain that the man is hiding something and planning to use it to his advantage later. I hope the wily old necromancer doesn't win the contest with his guile. Still, my sister Astra 9 will doubtless prove a formidable enemy for him, if she's careful.

Right now I am preparing to face my sister Artizza in battle. To my shame, I cannot supress a small amount of uneasiness toward her and Fertal, especially when I look into their unnerving black eyes. Still, I can tell that her heart is pure. She may be wily and tricksy like others of her kind, but she has no maliciousness and clearly held respect for the honor and skill of her opponent.

This will probably be a difficult battle for me--Artizza has shown herself to be very clever and has also adjusted quite quickly and effectively to her new nature. Yet after her first win in her new self, she will doubtless become somewhat overconfident and too full of joy in her victory--something I have done in the past, alas. I might be able to use this against her, and teach her a valuable lesson in the process...
