Henri considered this for a moment, then said: "I don't see why not. It
should be safe enough. According to our scouts, none of the enemy are
within ten miles of our camp. And it would be nice to have some fresh meat
to supplement our salted supplies. There are deer that make good eating to
be found in these woods. There are also bears, which are the main thing to
beware of, but they won't normally attack humans unless provoked."
A short time later, Astra and Henri were making their way as stealthily as possible through the forest, each of them armed with a crossbow and a knife (the knife primarily for butchering any animal that they might kill). She's very good at moving silently and inconspicuously, Henri thought. That's in addition to her prowess with the crossbow. When I have the chance, I must find out more about her history.
