"I'm sorry", Fred said. "I would have given you my clothes, but they are cold and wet." He looked at her helplessly. As much as he wanted to, he could not offer her anything to keep her warm. But he would keep her safe.
Glenda looked back at him and waved his worries away with a smile. "I can fight your dragon for you, once I've got my clothes back on." "I beg your pardon... my lady?" Fred asked, not knowing whether she was making fun of him or trying to reassure him. But Glenda suddenly stopped and pointed at a small, colorful pile of clothes that was lying next to a giant oak tree. "My clothes!" she exclaimed, her eyes as wide and blue as the sky above them. Fred let out a sigh of relief. At least that part of his quest was now over. In a few minutes, he could just turn back and enter the cavern again. He just needed to remember to take a left turn this time. "Wait." Glenda said, still staring at her clothes. "Something is not right. Someone has moved my clothes." Fred looked around, then shrugged. "There is no living soul around here, my lady, except for you and me." "I believe you are right..." Glenda said. "But in this case, the thing that has moved my clothes is neither dead or alive." Fred's eyebrows went up. Now this was getting interesting! "What do you mean?"
