"Why- these are all men of my fa- um, these are all local yeomen, stout and true!" exclaimed Glenda. "I don't recognise a soul," mused Sir Fred. "You obviously do. Are they from your home town or castle?" "They are indeed," replied Glenda. "They are indeed." An ear-splitting roar echoed through the glen, and both Fred and Glenda recoiled instinctively. Overhead a dark bat-winged shape, massive and sinister, swooped and glided before passing across the clearing and into some opening in the mountainside, high above them. "The dragon is back home then," Fred observed. "Yes. And in his wake will come the dragonspawn..." Glenda pointed to the far side of the clearing where four-legged scaled dog-like monsters the size of ponies were galloping towards them...
