In her dream, she saw the golden pillars of light that indicated the
spirits wanted to communicate with her again. There were a few of us who thought you would step through the portal. It is good that you proved them wrong. Do not worry about food. You will be provided for. Continue to follow the lake until you reach the mountain range. There, we will meet again. The scene faded and Astra woke. She sat up with a start, noticing the sun's position seem to indicate she had been asleep for several hours. Fred gave her a concerned look. "Are you alright?" He asked. She nodded and said, "Don't worry, I'm fine. The Spirits contacted me again." Fred raised his eyebrows. "Oh?" He enquired. "What did they say this time?" "Not a lot. They were rather vague about a few things but I didn't feel it was my place to question them." "Go on." "We made the right decision about the portal. Why, they didn't say. Also we weren't to worry about food as we would be provided for. Again, they gave no further information." "Does that worry you?" "No, it doesn't." She gave a shrug. "Anyway, we don't really have any option but to trust them." "True," Fred agreed. "Was that all they had to say?" "Only that we should make our way to those mountains. We're to continue following the lake. They said they'd contact me again when we get there." They stood up and stretched. "Best be going then." Fred replied. A few minutes later as they were walking along, Fred surprised Astra by asking, "So what was troubling you earlier?" "Hmm?" When you woke, you looked rather troubled." Fred explained. "That's why I asked if what the Spirit's had said - or rather, not said - worried you." "Oh, nothing like that. I was just wondering how several hours appeared to have passed when I was - or so I thought - asleep for only a few minutes." "Oh." Was all Fred could say. Astra couldn't help but smile at that. It was not often Fred was at a loss for words.
