The Plan is a Failure

Astra sighed. Worth a try, she thought. She yawned suddenly, and ten minutes had fallen asleep. Tiredness had finally overcome her awkward situation. Her guard hummed quietly to himself, while gazing at Astra in a manner she probably would have found disturbing had she been awake.

Astra only slept for around four hours, and it took her a few seconds to remember where she was. Unfortunately she needed to go for real, now. Contorting her face trying hard to hold it in only made the guard laugh at her and she glared at him helplessly.

"I'm going to be relieved in a few hours," he said, once he'd stopped laughing.

1. "We'll let you go. Under constant supervision, of course."
2. "Maybe my replacement will be more lenient."
