Astra worked her way to the left, and after ten minutes or so managed to find a region where the slope was substantially gentler. It then took her another half an hour to descend the mountain. Then she climbed the forested slope of the foothill. Though she was now going uphill, the terrain was easier, so this took her about as long as the descent had done.

Eventually she reached her goal, the top of the hill. At least the exercise has warmed me up, she thought.

There was a fine view.
To her annoyance, she found that the summit was so thickly forested that, if she wanted to see anything, she was going to have to climb one of the trees.
