Minestus took Stacy back inside and then into a room that contained what
looked for all the world like a wide-screen TV. He gestured, and the
screen lit up. It was showing Astra's progress through the labyrinth.
However at the moment she wasn't making any progress at all, as she was
fighting a monstrous creature that was so heavily armoured that Stacy
wasn't sure if there really was a flesh and blood creature inside
or whether it was some kind of robot.
Though Astra was well armoured and had a sword and shield, she seemed to be having the worst of it, since her sword seemed incapable of hurting her opponent. Her left arm hung uselessly at her side, either broken or numbed. As a result she couldn't protect herself with her shield. Though she had a helm, her face was unprotected, and blood was running down her cheek from a nasty cut. She was being forced back all the time. "She'll be killed!" Stacy exclaimed in horror. "You've got to stop this."
