Of course, Fred and Astra had no hope of defeating the zombies.
Fortunately, the centaur saw the way they came in and escaped. Fred and Astra followed. The zombies shambled after. Fast. Too many...they were surrounding the humans. Fred slashed off three heads...Astra punched another to the ground... They were backed up against trees. Then the centaur appeared. Flashing hooves drove five more to the ground, then strong, womanly arms pulled the two onto the centaur's back. "My name is Celina." said the centaur. She had short, black hair. High cheekbones, blue eyes and a pointed chin spoke of humanoid descent from the sometime friendly land of Three Kingdoms. She had on dark black leather armor over her human self. Her horse self was chocolate brown, fading to a yellowish-white, like autumn leaves, on her horse-stomach area. Her tail was tied with a rare Nuetralizer-Band. It decreased the mass of whatever it was around. It didn't work on metal and continued use caused a painful rash. But in battle, it kept important bits, like tails, from being pulled. The group sat in a small cave under a rushing waterfall. Astra kept an eye on the moonlit path leading up to the grotto. The three had already introduced themselves and thanked each other for the save. Celina had explained that she had also appeared in this area after getting too close to the dragon's realm. Villianous bald-headed men had captured her, for unknown purposes. She had escaped, only to have the zombies unleashed. "My pardons." said Fred, for he knew it was a touchy subject. "Isn't the riding of centaurs forbidden?" Celina laughed. "Well, yeah. And so is punching out a police officer but I'd do it to save a life. No worries. I won't tell if you won't." Phew. Fred knew he was acting a bit silly but he didn't want to freeze cultural relations with the entire centaur race, even if most of humanity looked askance upon them. Not to mention any other humanoids that didn't fit the 'norm'. Stupid humanity.
