The Bottomless Pit

Whoosh! She plunged straight down and swiftly gained terminal velocity. Forunately this happened before she encountered any dangerous rocks. And now since she was falling at the same speed as the stones...why it was just like they were sitting still right next to here.

Astra worked herself upwards to a vaguely vertical position. To her right was a large obsidian rock and to her left were a dozens of pebbles. The air whipped around her as she plunged straight down and her armor rattled and rumbled as the wind roared through it.

Astra wondered if she would ever hit bottom. On one hand, it should be over quick when she does. On the other hand, ancient legends describe a bottomless pit. Various wonderous stories happened involving this pit. In one story, it was part of a castle, in another, it was in the middle of a field. But it had always been to the North of Aqualaria, right where Astra was now.

What happens to Astra now?

1. The pit slopes forward, gently, so Astra ends up sliding down a tube. All of the rocks except for some pebbles go down a seperate tube.
2. Astra hits bottom and dies in an explosion of gore.
3. The walls change and Astra starts falling upwards.
4. Astra plucks the pebbles out of the air and bounces them off the walls.
