Using the enemy's own gear against them...

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 42982

So, that is where I comes in....

Not to brag, but I am rather good at impressions. Add a magical disguise and you would have a hard time indeed telling me from the original! Heavens knows I've done such things in the past (re: 9859), and while I'd done a decent enough job that last time to past muster this is different. See, at least THIS time I had MORE than enough time to get a feel for the character I shall be mimicking.

**Dominar Rygel is quiet the character! Do believe I'll be able to pull this off, especially since I had SEEN a good majority of the lines just moments ago in the TARDIS. Yes, even if it had been more than a bit uncomfortable for the Crichton we've left behind (for the moment) on the TARDIS, this shall pay dividends indeed.**

Throw in a quick replicator job that B'Elanna cooked up, this will work to our advantage. See, back when we had Scorpius (the "Season 1" Scorpius if one must get technical) we had studied that special outfit of his. Besides it being useful for helping to regulate his body temperature (the cybernetic additions like his cooling rods rounding thing out in that task) AND intimidating others (otherwise I would have put it off as evidence to ghastly sense of fashion, otherwise), it has an added benefit.

He has body armor underneath that costume that not only was proof against plasma bolts (if not Earth type lead bullets, re: 22713) but it has this rather ingenious system within that gives off sparks that mimic a successful entry (and exit) wound for wherever a plasma bolt would land (within reason).

Which is good, considering that if the armor I'm now wearing underneath my magical disguise wasn't up to snuff my mate, Chiana, would have been TOTALLY against this! As it is, she's barely able to stand back to let things play out.

**Oh, and for those who're asking "But what about the other variant who got killed?" Being that of all of us, Aeryn-Pip-- knowing her best- - shall take over the part of variant Jool. She'll play variant Jool's part up to the part where the woman got shot. The armor (hidden underneath the magical disguises one of my pupils will cast) will spare her the plasma burns she'd otherwise get, you see.**

....

Well, enough of that. Shan't bore you with details about how startled the variant Rygel reacted to seeing me. Nor shall I bore you with just where we stuffed the Dominar out of sight while I stepped into his shoes, to take over up until the point ** where Scorpius would have shot him. That and beyond, really. I am now playing the part of the corpse of Rygel the 16th as the variant Stark is screaming. Yes, that in itself (the screaming) tells me that I was successful. Still...by G. . . The armor held, but I'll be sore where I got shot for a bit here! That and . . .**

Still, sometimes the hardest thing to do is wait but wait I and the others do (hidden by magicks) up to the point where the ** variant Chiana --still under the control of the earlier version of Aeryn-Pip -- gets shot by Scorpius.**

By that time, it'll become crystal clear that intervention is needed. See, things are going to be "going down" here quickly. The earlier Aeryn- Pip (aka the "possessing entity") shall be leaving the scene here in a moment. Sucked back to that Nexus, she shall be. Back to Flagg (by all guesses) to be finally be given back her old form (the form which is a mirror image of "my" Chiana in her elegant human seeming). Back to the Nexus and taking with her the regenerative powers she'd brought to the variant Chiana whilst in control. Back to the Nexus where a Key Component shall be emplaced within her, locking her forevermore after into the form of a Nebari female. Making any further alterations to her person (Matrix wise, which . . . current theory includes body hoping as what she'd been doing up to this point) impossible! See, when Aeryn-Pip left, the variant Chiana shall wake up to find the variant Stark staring at her.

Not wishing for questioning (or shouting) that might break the trances that the earlier season 4 Crichton and Scorpius are still under, I quickly mutter a spell to put both out. Then, after jumping up (causing Scorpius to pause for a few seconds . . . like it almost registered something isn't right), I drag both sleeping forms off to the side out of harms way.

Breath a sigh of relief Scorpius fails to break out of the spell he's under. That monster has . . . He's a very formidable foe. Full of surprises. Figures that he'd almost had the mental prowess to slip though bounds Flagg had put on his mind (somewhere).

Thank God he'd not been up to the task, else Heaven only knows what would have happened. . .

Note: Later on this Scorpius' memories shall become "unscrambled" enough to where he'll remember what he'd actually seen instead of the script that Flagg laid out before his mind. That AND somehow manage to avoid the "booby trap" that would/should have turned his mind into guacamole. It's quiet the shock to Leatherface all the same! That and a bit more painful for a certain Kalish girl friend he'd been . . . strangling . . .er . . .playing with right at the last Scorpy scene of Season 4).

Anyway, out plan?

See, just like on the earlier trip, we are playing out parts to keep the illusion up until it is safe. Keep playing our parts until we're past the point where the bloodbath as seen on TV plays out. Being that the variant Stark is out, that part will be played by a spell disguised Inquirer. Of course, that's rather jumping ahead of things...

Things play out as they'd before. Scorpius and the earlier Crichton (ala Season 4) leaves in their Farscape Module (according to "our" Crichton, still within the TARDIS). See, unlike the sensors on this Variant Moya, the TARDIS' sensors work! They'd not been sabotaged by the bespelled native Crichton (oi, too many Crichton running around)!

Soon enough, the native Crichton returns via his Farscape Module from only Heaven knows where and lands in Moya. We, still in disguise, step into the picture to play out the scenes as seen on Unrealized Realities (again). That or adlibbing in the parts Betty and Ragan's DVDs hadn't shown. We manage to pull it off, it appears . . .

Of course, being that this is now a parallel universe/reality/timestream instead of whatever "our" Crichton had visited things are BOUND to turn out differently. . .

  1. And it's Sovay who stumbles across it when she takes a quick reading with her Detector wand...
