Betty-1, Betty-2 and Stacy Go Into Game 3

"Did you understand all that about the rules?" Betty-1 asked her companions. They shook their heads. "Glad it's not just me, then," she said.

"At least we are better off than the Doctors and the Masters," Betty-2 pointed out. "You and I know a lot about all the Games, and about this one in particular, but they will be coming to this cold."

"I can't see why there are three teams," Stacy said. "The winners are supposed to be given the chance to save Earth, aren't they? But presumably the Masters won't want to."

"Whereas, like us, the Doctors will," Betty-1 pointed out. "So even if we don't make it through all three Games to win, if the Doctors can do so ahead of the Masters, then Earth can still be saved."

"So just where are we at the moment?" Stacy asked.

The Bettys looked around, and then Betty-1 said:
