It was fortunate that Chris was a girl, as when rummaging through her pack Amy had also found a sewing kit, an unlikely thing to find had Chris been male. The needle and thread weren't really ideal for sewing up an incision, being flimsier than was ideal, but nevertheless Amy managed to make a reasonable job of it.

Hardly had Amy given a sigh of relief at concluding the operation successfully, than Chris began to come round. She attempted to sit up, but Amy put out a restraining arm. "I want you to move as little as possible until the incision has started to heal," she said. "I don't want you breaking my stitches. But you'll be glad to know that the operation seems to have been a success."

"Thanks. Can I put my clothes back on?"

"I'd like to say 'no', given my own nudity, but I don't want you catching a chill in your condition. I'll help you put them on - I don't want you exerting yourself."

Once Chris was fully dressed...

  1. She said: "So I've got to remain in this spot for some hours, then?"
  2. She said: "All right, you can have your underwear back. Seeing what you've done for me, that's only fair."
  3. Amy said: "Why did you let me think that you were a boy? And what's a girl doing down here with a sword?"
