I shall simply have to kill you without further ado.” “Whoa, joke!” Amy lied. “It was a joke! You really think I’d go about a quest dressed like this and without a weapon? I’m really a...geologist.” “That’s not a very good joke,” Lucifer frowned. “But telling bad jokes is hardly a grievance punishable by death. A geologist, hmm? Hmm.” “Uh yeah,” she stammered. “I’m down here studying the cave network.”“Hmm.” “Mm hmm.”“Mmm.” “So, uh, Lucifer is an interesting name,” she digressed. “How did you end up with that one?”“It’s what my parents named me,” he said bluntly. More silence ensued. “Well, uh, maybe you could take me on a tour of the place, or something? I’m sure there’s all sorts of interesting stuff down here.”“I’d rather not,” he droned. “I think I’ll just go about my business. Please don’t follow me.” Amy put on her best sad puppy dog face. “Ah, don’t leave me all alone,” she pouted. “I’m sure to run into more trouble without you.”
