"Are you responsible for Fred's strange behaviour?"

"Strange? What's so strange about it? I needed a chef, and he happened to be available."

"You don't think that it's odd that he is wearing only an apron, or that he's disposing of dirty crockery down a well? Did you ask him if he wanted to be your chef?"

"Of course not! He might have refused. But after a little adjustment, he is now perfectly happy, though it seems that I will need to work on him some more in order to get him to produce meals that are actually edible."

"You said that I wouldn't be leaving any time soon?"
