The Snark won out over all the other bidders and gave three bags of
precious spice to the captors. The centaur gave the Snark a dirty look
while the servant of Hoth seemed to slither away. The others also walked
away after the auctioning was done and finished.
A chain was put over the ropes that already bound the poor knight and holding the other end of the chain was the claw of the Snark. Fred saw that the being had just concluded some last minute details with the 'auctioneers'. Now the Snark began pulling him out of the room. Fred resisted by placing his foot behind a stone statuary. The Snark simply turned about and said, "If you don't come peacefully I'll be forced to show you my face. You really, really don't want to see my face." The clothe about it's head seemed to pulsate and writhe and Fred got a sick feeling just contemplating what exactly might be underneath those robes. He lifted his foot and resigned himself to follow his new 'master'. As they left the room one of the ruffians called out, "Don't forget, tomorrow at the third hour we'll be auctioning the woman." "I won't forget," answered the Snark, and off he walked with Fred in tow.
