A Chance Meeting of Old Friends

"It's astonishing to see you," Rowena replied. "After all, you've been missing for two years, presumed dead. And now you turn up on a horse, hundreds of miles away from home and stark naked."

"Two years!" Andrea exclaimed. "As long as that?"

"You sound as though you didn't know."

"I didn't. I think I must have been out of my mind for the last two years. I seem to have been living as a beggar. I don't know how I came to this place or anything. I only returned to my senses a few days ago."

Andrea saw the uncertain look on Rowena's face, and continued: "You're wondering if I really am sane aren't you? Well, I can explain my lack of clothes. You see..."

Andrea described her escape from the cultists.

1. Rowena believes her.
2. Rowena thinks that a tale like Andrea's has to be a paranoid delusion.
